Journeyman Assessment Test Procedures

Applications will be accepted from 9:00 am to 3:00pm, Monday thru Friday( except holidays), at the office of the Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee located at 904 Brenkman Dr., Pekin,IL all persons wishing to enter the Mid-Central Illinois Regional Council of Carpenters must meet the following qualifications.  

 APPLICANTS MUST:

• Complete and return the Jouneyman's application form.
• Submit a $50.00 cash administrative fee (cash or money orders only)                                                    
• Take the performance evaluation test to determine your level of placement                           

AND ALSO BY MEETING THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:

An Individual who can verify (by providing adequate documentation) that they have worked a minimum of two thousand (2000) hours specically in the trade in classifications represented by the UBC.  Those would include Carpenter, Millwright, Cabinet Maker and Floor Coverer.

Individuals must provide the JATC proper documentation that defines their experience in the construction industry.  This documentation must be comprised of official documents such as tax/payroll records and notorized letters of experience.  The JATC will examine all documentation submitted before qualification is acknowledged.  The JATC will schedule skill and knowledge evaluation interview with the applicant if it is deemed appropriate.
